Garrett Soldano for Governor issued the following announcement on Mar. 11.

Nearly two years ago, Governor Gretchen Whitmer began unilaterally locking Michigan down – crushing businesses, isolating seniors, depriving our kids of an education, and infringing upon our most fundamental rights as Americans.

Where did she start when addressing a public health crisis? Shutting down fitness centers and discouraging healthy lifestyles. Whitmer’s approach failed, and we can never forget the long-term damage this individual has inflicted on our economy, our kids, and our freedoms.

Two years later, the science is clear – lockdowns did much more harm than good, and did not significantly impact the spread of COVID-19.

NO POLITICIAN should EVER have been able to do what Gretchen Whitmer did to Michiganders. I won’t stop fighting until she’s defeated and checks and balances are restored to our beloved state.
