BOB JACKSON FOR PRESIDENT: MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT TO HOST POLICE FUN DAY OCT. 24

Bob jackson for president issued the following announcement on Oct 22.

The Murray State University Police Department will host a Police Fun Day Oct. 24 on the Quad. Murray State students, faculty and staff are invited for food, fun and giveaways.

Police Fun Day will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Racers are invited to connect with Murray State police officers over grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, play games and more.

“We started this three years ago as a way to show appreciation for everyone on campus,” said Deputy Chief of Police Jeff Gentry. “This is a way for us to say ‘thank you’ and give back.”

The Murray State University Police Department upholds the educational mission of the University by making the community safe for its members to live, learn, and serve. 

Last year, the department, along with the Center for Adult and Regional Education, were named first in the nation for campus safety initiatives, with both University units receiving the 2018 Department of the Year award from Safe Campus.
