Glen Oaks Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.
Glen Oaks received a 2021 Brick Award from the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce during the Chamber's annual meeting earlier this week.
The award was for the renovation of the auto and welding labs on the north end campus. In addition, the college also received the Outstanding Community Service Award for initiatives in helping students with laptops and hotspots, keeping the Pearson Vue Testing center more accessible during the pandemic and for allowing Consumers Energy to utilize the campus as a command center during the severe August power outages in St. Joseph County.
