Pursuant to the provisions of Section 308 of the revised Municipal Finance Act, being Act 34, Public Acts of Michigan, 2001, as amended (MCL 141.2308), you are hereby notified that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of St. Joseph will hold a meeting in the Historic County Courthouse, 125 West Main, Centreville, Michigan 49032 on July 12, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. at which the Board of County Commissioners will consider adopting a resolution authorizing the issuance of the following note (the “Note”):
GENERAL OBLIGATION LIMITED TAX NOTE, SERIES 2022
The Note may be issued in one or more series and will be payable primarily general funds of the County. As security for the prompt payment of the principal of and interest on the Note, the proposed Note will contain a limited tax full faith and credit pledge of the County. In the event there are insufficient moneys for the payment of principal of and interest on the Note, the County shall levy a tax on all taxable property in the County for the prompt payment of principal and interest on the Note, which tax shall be limited as to rate and amount by applicable constitutional and statutory limitations on the taxing power of the County.
