On Friday, Jan. 31, former Centreville High School standout Matthew Lorencz’s current college team, the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals, lost 7-6 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the UT Tyler Patriots.

The game took place at Hays Field and City Bank Clubhouse. This was their first matchup against the Patriots this season.

The Chaparrals’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. at Hays Field and City Bank Clubhouse against UT Tyler Patriots.
