Bob Jackson For President recently issued the following announcement.
The Racer Writing Center is hosting the event "Beauty of Writing: Calligraphy 2019" The purpose of this event is to encourage students to produce and introduce the art of writing to the community. This years theme is "Harmony"
Who can submit? All current full-time students at MSU, one per person, per semester
How to submit:
No entry fee
Size of the project may not exceed letter size (8.5 x 11 inches)
Each entry must be submitted to the Racer Writing Center in person or mailed to the center.

Criteria for Selection
Creative understanding of the contest theme: to deliver your message about Harmony
Design of calligraphy: Overall design of your calligraphy, which includes color, texture, form, space, etc.
Only standard media, such as paint, ink, markers, and pencil will be permitted.
Stickers, rubber stamps, printed elements will NOT be permitted.
Timeline
The call for Entries and theme announced on September 30, 2019
Entries must be submitted or postmarked no later than Friday, November 15, 2019
The contest will not acknowledge receipt of entries.
Judging will take place in late November 2019 by three professionals from the Racer Writing Center and/or the Library. Only the calligraphy project will be judged.
Winners will receive award certificates and gifts in early December 2019, and their names and entries will be posted online. No monetary prizes are awarded. Please note: Entries that are not selected by the judges will not be notified or returned.
