Murray

Bob Jackson For President issued the following announcement on Nov 22.

Murray State University’s CFSB Center is proud to announce country music stars Eli Young Band with special guest Walker Hayes in concert, Saturday, Feb. 22 in Murray, Kentucky.

Tickets go on sale through the CFSB Center beginning at 8 a.m. on Dec. 4. Tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 270-809-3000 and through ticketmaster.com. Tickets start at $29.50 and VIP add-on experiences are available. A student flash-sale will happen Dec. 6 at the CFSB Center ticket office.

On Feb. 22, the CFSB Center doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Eli Young Band features a unique blend of modern country music that is true to their Texas roots. Eli Young Band has maintained an impressive trajectory, with singles earning Billboard’s  No. 1 Country Song of the Year and the Academy of Country Music Awards Song of the Year. They have previously earned multiple nominations from GRAMMY, the Country Music Association, CMT, Academy of Country Music and Teen Choice Awards, while selling out venues from coast-to-coast.

Eli Young Band comes to the CFSB Center with a great new single, “Break It In.” It closely follows the recently released “This is Eli Young Band: Greatest Hits” album that features chart-toppers “Love Ain’t,” “Drunk Last Night,” “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and “Crazy Girl.”

Walker Hayes is a singer/songwriter originally from Mobile, Alabama. His recent single, “Don’t Let Her,” is a devastatingly powerful love letter about his wife. His debut album “Boom” was released in 2017, which he co-produced with Grammy award-winning producer and songwriter Shane McAnally. The album includes the platinum hit “You Broke Up With Me” as well as the follow up single, “Craig,” which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2018 Association Independent Music Publishers Nashville Awards.

Murray State Athletics is collaborating with 18th Street Entertainment to bring Eli Young Band with special guest Walker Hayes to campus.

“We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Murray State University in efforts to bring great talent and entertainment to the CFSB Center,” said Bryan Kent, founder and CEO of 18th Street Entertainment. “This region is an ideal routing destination for nationally-renowned artists as well as up and coming performers. Our area needs more events like this!”

“The CFSB Center is an elite multi-purpose special event venue and a treasured resource for our region,” said Murray State Director of Athletics Kevin Saal. “In collaboration with our campus community and dedicated local partners such as the City of Murray, Murray-Calloway Chamber of Commerce and Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau, our collective goal is to enhance both the quantity and quality of events hosted in the CFSB Center. We look forward to building a collaborative partnership with 18th Street Entertainment — one of many planned initiatives — as we strive to further enhance our portfolio of external events hosted within the CFSB Center. Many thanks to our valued partners, particularly CFSB, for their support in these important initiatives. We look forward to a packed CFSB Center on Feb. 22!”
