State Rep. Eric Leutheuser (R-Hillsdale) was among several public servants honored during Freedom Farm School’s most recent patriotic program.
According to Hillsdale Daily News, the program is held every four years to acknowledge the services given by veterans and elected officials.
“Thank you, Freedom Christian School, for the invitation and for your attention to education and patriotism in students' lives,” Leutheuser said in a Facebook post.
The program featured a variety of band and choir presentations, including “Star Spangled Banner,” “God Bless America” and “America the Beautiful.” During the event, Leutheuser also presented a flag from the state of Michigan to two seniors at the school.
In addition to visiting the Freedom Christian School, Leutheuser recently held a coffee hour to meet with Branch County residents.
“Grateful for the time with those in Branch County,” he said in a Facebook post. “Algansee Township officials and residents were wonderful hosts. What an honor to represent these counties.”
