Coldwater, Michigan - City Offices issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
UPDATE: While the hospital will be up shortly, the rest of the area will take approximately 8 hours to repair. US-12 will be closed between Michigan and Sprague for the next 4-8 to facilitate repairs.
POWER OUTAGE: The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is experiencing a power outage that has affected the hospital, Hamburger Alley, and Jefferson School. A car struck a utility pole in front of the Pizza Hut on US-12, causing the outage.
PLEASE AVOID TRAVELING ON US-12 IF POSSIBLE DUE TO DOWNED POWER LINES.
While the Estimated Time of Restoration is currently unknown, repairs will take several hours. Crews have been dispatched and repairs are commencing. Customers will be updated as the timeline is updated.
