City of Sturgis issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
The City of Sturgis would like to thank all of the volunteers who assisted with the tree planting project at Oak Lawn Cemetery and Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Saturday! What a great day with a great group of people! 50 trees were planted between the two cemeteries in about 2 hours.
There were representatives from ReLeaf Michigan, Boy Scouts Troop 402, Bird, Scheske, Reed & Beemer Law Office, Abbott Nutrition, Sturgis Football, Sturgis residents and City staff.
