Document

Just a reminder that Spring Brush and Leaf Pickup will begin on Monday, April 4, 2022.

DPS crews will begin the pickup on the North side of the City and work their way South. Weather conditions and varying amounts of brush make it difficult to adhere to a strict schedule, therefore it is necessary to have your materials ready for pickup and crews will get to them as quickly as possible.

Crews will only be making one pass through the north and south side of the City. If you miss the April brush pickup, crews will be picking up again the first full week of May and the first full week of October.

*Please note that it is unlawful to place brush beyond the curb in the street.

Rules for brush pickup are as follows:

• Materials must be neatly stacked on the terrace away from objects or obstructions such as power poles, guy wires, sign posts, valve boxes, etc.

• A limit of 1 (one) truck load of material per parcel will be collected and hauled away.

• Limbs, branches or brush material longer than 4 inches in diameter will not be collected.

• Limbs, branches or brush material longer than 8 feet in length will not be collected.

• No grass clippings, roots, thorn bearing branches, tree trunks, stumps or construction materials will be collected.

The Compost Site will open for the season beginning on Saturday April 2nd.

The hours are as follows:

April thru October

Monday and Thursday – Noon to 7:30pm

Saturday – 9am to 5pm

Sunday – 1pm to 5pm

November
