The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners has decided to allocate $1 million of its American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to support community projects. This one-time funding is being provided by the federal government to address health and economic impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. An online survey has been created to understand the priorities of county residents and business owners for allocating these funds.
The information gathered will inform development of an application process for local governments and nonprofits seeking funding support. The application process for ARPA funds will be determined and communicated to the public by the County at a future date. The survey is available on the County’s website at stjosephcountymi.org/survey.
The survey will be open until May 20. St. Joseph County encourages residents and business owners to take the survey and share the survey link.
