In keeping with the practice of regular routine water main cleaning, the City of Bronson will be flushing fire hydrants. The flushing will begin 12:01 a.m. Monday morning June 6th for the Northern section (north of US-12) of the City and Tuesday morning June 7th at 12:01 a.m. for the Southern section (south of US-12) of the City. The City apologizes for any inconveniences the flushing may cause. On occasion, the water in the areas of flushing may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance as flushing can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration. If this occurs, please run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines. The City advises the public to refrain from doing laundry during the two days the flushing will be taking place.
