State Senator Jonathan Lindsey | Michigan House Republicans
State Senator Jonathan Lindsey has put forward a set of six legislative proposals aimed at enhancing constitutional freedoms for residents of Michigan. The bills are designed to reinforce rights outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
“These bills are based on common sense,” stated Lindsey, R-Coldwater. “The Constitution should never be taken for granted, and we must strive to reverse the damage that Democrats have inflicted on our protected freedoms.”
Lindsey expressed pride in introducing these measures, which he believes will protect liberty in Michigan. He emphasized that his legislation is intended to safeguard taxpayer dollars and ensure fair elections. One proposal, known as the "Baby Olivia" bill, seeks to highlight the sanctity of unborn life. Other measures focus on defending Second Amendment rights and resisting government overreach through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Additionally, Lindsey supports parents opting for alternatives to public education.
He anticipates collaboration with stakeholders in both the Michigan House and Senate to promote these legislative efforts and uphold liberties.
