Last week State Sen. Kim LaSata (R-Bainbridge Township) announced a virtual town hall that she will be hosting with state Fire Marshal Kevin Sehlmeyer and city of Niles Fire Department Fire Inspector Driver Rory Iwaniuk to talk to Michiganders about Fire Prevention Month, reported by MiSenateGOP.
The event will be Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m. Any Michigan residents who would like to attend this virtual town hall should register at Fire Safety Month Virtual Town Hall.
Every October is Fire Prevention Month, which comes with a goal of raising fire safety awareness to make sure that fire safety plans are utilized by families should they ever need to escape in an emergency situation.
